NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job
Tailored Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling for NDIS participants with a work goal — delivered through our Work Ready Launch Pad™ framework. Funded under NDIS Capacity Building. In person across South East Queensland and via telehealth Australia-wide, or Equine Assisted near Ipswich.
Built for NDIS participants with a work goal at any starting point
If you’ve never worked and aren’t sure where to begin, or you’ve held jobs in the past but
couldn’t keep them, you’re not failing. You’re sitting in the gap between the NDIS and DES/IEA (Disability Employment Services / Individualised Employment Assistance) - and that gap is where most employment journeys break down.
Stable & Grounded fills that gap. Our Tailored Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling service builds the work capacity, confidence and self-knowledge a DES/IEA provider expects you to already have. This isn’t job-placement and it doesn’t duplicate what your DES/IEA provider does. It’s the work that has to happen before placement is likely to last — and the ‘Keep the Job’ support that helps it last once it begins.
Stable & Grounded services focus on:
- Building practical, everyday work skills
- Strengthening emotional and behavioural skills
- Supporting adjustment to injury, illness, and life change
- Increasing independence and emotional wellbeing
- Preparing individuals for education, employment, and community participation
Who We Help:
You've never worked. You’re not sure where to start, what work would suit you, or whether you can hold a job at all. We start with capacity, not pressure.
You've had jobs but couldn’t keep them. The pattern looks like failure. It’s actually a support gap. We unpack what didn’t work and build the foundation that lasts.
You're a support coordinator. Your participant needs capacity-building before a
DES/IEA referral can succeed. We’re the missing step in the pathway — and we report back.
Our Principles
Stable & Grounded was built on the premise that experience precedes insight. We recognised the need for a professional, high-feedback environment where individuals could practice regulation in real-time.

Do what we say we will do:
Collaborate and deliver

Real-world progress, not vague goals:
We focus on the ability to work, communicate, and navigate daily life.

Learning by doing:
We give you real chances to practise new responses and adjust as you go.

Complementary, Not Alternative:
We act as an adjunct support that enhances the work of GPs and psychologists.

"Stable & Grounded exists because people understand their problems but often cannot regulate themselves through them or are supported with practical implementation. Our work is intentionally grounded, professional, and outcome-oriented. We don't compete with clinical systems; we complement them by providing the practical solutions needed for real-world progress."
Therapist & Treatments
We provide structured programs for WorkCover QLD & Insurance clients, corporate teams, NDIS participants, and private individuals. Sessions focus on a whole-person approach to assessment, real-world skills and measurable outcomes.
Equine Assisted Therapy
A dynamic, experiential approach that uses the unique sensitivity of horses to build self-awareness and regulation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is NDIS “Finding and Keeping a Job” support?
It's a Capacity Building support that funds vocational counselling to help NDIS participants prepare for, find and keep meaningful work. At Stable & Grounded we deliver it through our Work Ready Launch Pad framework.
Do I need a DES agency, or can the NDIS fund employment support?
They're separate. Disability Employment Services (DES) help place you in a job; NDIS “Finding and Keeping a Job” funds the capacity-building counselling that gets you ready and keeps you there. The two can run alongside each other.
What is equine assisted vocational counselling?
Sessions involving horses that build confidence, communication and emotional regulation — skills that transfer directly to the workplace. Delivered by our allied health team near Ipswich.
Who is eligible for your employment support?
NDIS participants with a work goal and Capacity Building funding (“Finding and Keeping a Job”). We support people across South East Queensland in person and Australia-wide via telehealth.
Where are you located, and do you offer telehealth?
We're based near Pine Mountain, Ipswich, with in-person equine assisted sessions across South East Queensland, plus vocational counselling via telehealth Australia-wide.
